Hi there! Glad you found me. I am Matt Murray, owner / operator here at filament72, llc, which is a graphic design & web site development collective. I am based in Cleveland’s west side and represent more than 20 years in graphic design & website development experience. I take great pride in designing and building effective real world digital solutions, and in being easy to work with. Please take a look at a select sample of websites, identity, and print projects to get a visual of what I do.
“Working” aside, I am a proud husband & daddy and all that comes with it. I tackle my own home renovations and work on my own vehicles where I can. I am grateful for the friends I have made and the ones to come. For the last 10 years or so, I wear a beard in the winter, not because I am hip but because I live in Cleveland! Its freezing! I primarily listen to both kinds of music, Punk Rock and Metal, although I was raised on classic rock so I have an appreciation for it all. I grew up on a skateboard & snowboard and still love both (though not as frequently as I would like). Although I never thought I would be, I am hooked on golf, I get out as much as possible in the summer. I am also a big fan of Cleveland sports, Go Browns, Cavs and Guards, but as my youngest says “the teams we love don’t win very much” ha! …get used to it kid. 🙂
So what is filament72 all about anyways? It’s a pretty simple concept: Help small-to-medium sized businesses promote themselves effectively and affordably. By utilizing as many inexpensive (or even free) tools and services available, and a business model that allows individuals to work in a group and plug talents and skill sets into different needs as they arise, we can greatly reduce the overhead typically incurred by larger agencies. The way I see it, just because you are not “big” enough to afford a large agency, doesn’t mean you have to look that way.
I utilize several different tools, such as the Adobe Suite of products, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, & PHP, and specialize in leveraging WordPress as a “back-end” content management system (CMS).
As noted above, I am a freelancer. So, if any of you marketing departments or fellow freelancers out there are looking for someone to fill a gap for design or development, or just don’t have enough work to justify hiring someone on staff, please drop me a line, maybe we can help each other out.
